The Light Fifteen based 2+2 seater by C.D. Waters

Slough-built Citroën Light Fifteen 2+2 seater by C.D. Waters

Designed and built by C.D. Waters in Southam Priory, Gloucestershire in 1948, this aerodynamic 2+2 seater used the underpinnings of the Light Fifteen.

Mr. Waters was an  engineer specialising in aircraft engines and after the end of World War 2, decided to build the kind of car of which he had always dreamed; a car based on aeronautic principals, with a 'streamlined body' mounted on the coque of a secondhand Light Fifteen.

He spent some 3000 hours and GBP1000 on this project which he constructed in a shed in his garden.

The car was fitted with a single, oval headlamp containing two bulbs and this was mounted high up behind the radiator grill.  Electrics were by Lucas and instruments by Smiths and a Radiomobile radio was fitted.
