C4 Lounge and C4 L

C4 Lounge was launched in 2012. It is produced in Argentina, Brazil, China and Russia and is exported to many countries but is not sold in European markets.

Successor to the C4 Pallas, the C4 Lounge is specific for two strategic markets, Eurasia and Latin America .

Based on the second generation of European C4, the Lounge retains the wheelbase dimensions of the C4 Pallas which results in large internal space.

It is available with a 6 speed Aisin automatic transmission which offers better utilisation of power and torque and lower fuel consumption. The car may be fitted with the 1.6 I4 , 16V Turbo THP engine inherited from the Peugeot RCZ, 508 and 3008.  This engine delivers 165 bhp and 24.5 Nm of torque .

Safety is improved with the provision of ISOFIX (attachment system for child seats in the rear seat) fittings; traction control; plus EBD and ESP; ABS brakes and front air bags side air bags and window air bags being either standard or optional, depending on the model.

These fittings which standard in European and North American cars are still not standard in the markets in which the car will be sold. C4 Lounge therefore raises the game.

A Satnav is also fitted.
