Citroën in Indonesia
GSpécial

The GSpécial was built in Indonesia between 1989 and 1991 and was a genuine GSA, fitted with a hatchback, normal headlights, rear wiper, rear spoiler, GS X3 wheels and rearmost side windows with GSA Chic vertical lines. (This was the only GSA available in Indonesia)

It is likely that Indonesia could only produce the G Spécial once the tools for the Spanish GSA production line became available in 1988. Production of the G Spécial ended in 1991 but the GS remained in production until 1994.

Since Indonesia drives on the left, the British dashboard with round instruments was fitted although the G Spécial (being a genuine GSA) had the ‘satellites’ dashboard which was subsequently fitted to GSs too.
