2 CV Bedouin

While on holiday in September 1998, I spotted this 2CV based Bedouin in a service station on the German Belgian border near Malmédy.

I spoke briefly with the owner, a Brit called Angus Clowes whose business card described him as a linguist and globetrotter.

The Bedouin was made in small numbers in Britain by Bob Williams and John Fitzpatrick of Special Vehicle Conversion and resembles the FAF.

I believe Bob Williams was concerned with the Africar Project.

The body panels are resin-coated plywood and the roof could be removed leaving a Méhari style open topped "Jeep".
