1940 Type 23 Wehrmacht - the vehicles supplied to the Nazi occupiers were sabotaged by the simple expedient of fitting them with engine oil dipsticks that were deliberately mis-calibtrated.

The Type 23 was built from 1935 until 1969 and 121 902 examples were sold. Powered by the 1 911 cm3 powerplant from the Traction developing 42 bhp, the truck had a payload of 1 500 kg. In 1936, the company offered a diesel version which used a high turbulence, indirect injection four cylinder unit displacing 1 767 cm3 developing 40 bhp @ 3 650 rpm. The front end was redesigned in 1956.
