The New Look Xsara will be displayed at the Paris Salon in September 2000. 

In addition to the front end restyling , the front track has been widened by 10mm and the rear track by 10mm, 15 inch wheels are now standard, the body is longer and wider and the Windows CE option is also widely available which allows the driver to control the radio/CD player, satellite navigation and mobile 'phone by issuing spoken commands.

Safety has been improved too with the fitting of curtain airbags that deploy from the roof while sensors, fitted in the rear bumper, provide an audible proximity warning during parking.

New 1,6i and 2,0i 16 valve engines are being introduced.
