Citroën plans on producing 150 000 cars a year in its two Chinese plants and anticipates achieving at least 10% market share through a network of 550 sales outlets.  49 131 Fukangs were sold in 1998.  The Chinese car market is estimated to be 550 000 in 1999.  In addition to the Fukang, both the XM and Xantia (Fengshen-Xietuolong) are built locally in China.
