When we went to Lyon on 5 November we were
surprised that apart from the vaccination
checks everything was back to normal - normal
being the 2019-version.
Hundreds of clubs and merchants, tens of
thousands visitors...- the organisers claim no
less than 82,000. And although the main
attraction was the sister brand of
Simca/Talbot, there were many exotic and rare
Citroëns on display. A SM Opéra 4 door, the
late Jerry Hathaway's SM pick-up with
accompanying record car, a beautiful original
GS1015 in the seductive Bleu Thasos colour,
several Rosalie 'barn finds', DS ambulances,
... And if you were interested in buying
books, miniature cars, posters, parts and even
complete cars, this was the place to be too.
During the auction, organised by Osenat, a
Traction Avant convertible, a M35 monorotor
and a red and white Méhari were sold.
In conversation with Denis Huille of the
Conservatoire, he said he understood that the
planned relocation of this 'Musée' has been
postponed. There are five alternative
locations: three in the Paris region and two
in Brittany, but in the short term the
historical collection can be visited as before
in Aulnay-sous-Bois, north of Paris. For more
